Recognizing the challenges and opportunities this regulatory evolution posed, GreenCo ESG Consulting was founded. From our inception, we have been committed to providing specialized, technically-focused, and scientifically-grounded sustainability and climate risk advisory services. Our mission has been clear: to guide organizations in navigating the complexities of ESG reporting and ESG consulting services, ensuring compliance, transparency, and long-term value creation. 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of GreenCo, celebrating a decade of supporting organisations across Asia in strengthening ESG governance, transparency and long-term value creation.

Innovation, Education and Market Leadership
We launched our first mobile application (Android and iOS), offering free ESG educational content and calculation tools to the public. We also launched an AI agent to better support we serve international clients. With AI’s support in translation, given a client can communicate with us in English, we can provide reliable and quality ESG reporting and GHG calculation support to clients anywhere in the world.
Our professional team continued to grow, holding globally recognised qualifications, including CFA Institute Sustainable Investing, Certified GRI Sustainability Professional, and CESGA.
In Hong Kong, following the first effective year of the revised HKEX ESG Code, we launched our Scope 3 Accounting Model and Financial Impact Analysis Model to support client compliance with enhanced disclosure requirements.
In Singapore, we supported our first private renewable energy client in building sustainability governance, ESG data systems, and publishing its inaugural sustainability report from the ground up. Partnering with reliable financial printing and design house, we completed the first one-stop service in providing ESG reporting inclusive of impressive design and typeset support.
In Chinese Mainland, we expanded our outreach through WeChat Official Accounts (微信公众号), Video Channels (微信影音号) and Xiaohongshu (小红书), sharing short-form educational ESG content.

Expanding Global Footprint
We established our Singapore office, co-owned and lead by Singaporean expert. We achieved over 1% market share among Singapore-listed companies, demonstrating strong regional market acceptance.
We launched our first series of corporate videos and YouTube channel to enhance public ESG education, raise public awareness on ESG and enhance GreenCo brand visibility.
For the first time, we delivered board-level climate training and led cross-departmental climate action workshops for a large entertainment group, complemented by on-site operational reviews.
We also successfully completed the re-certification of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System, with the certification scope now enhanced to ESG Reporting, Sustainability and Climate Disclosure and GHG Accounting Advisory.

Advancing Climate Disclosure Advisory
Following the release of the ISSB IFRS S1 and S2 Standards, GreenCo expanded into climate-related disclosure advisory, supporting clients in building climate governance structures, identifying and prioritising climate-related risks and opportunities, conducting scenario analysis, assessing financial impacts, and delivering targeted training programmes.
We also prepared one of the first standalone climate disclosure reports referenced to IFRS S2.
This year also marked our first engagement with a non-listed large asset management firm, supporting its inaugural PRI reporting, development of climate-related policies, and refinement of responsible investment frameworks, resulting in a notable improvement in PRI scores.

Entering the Digitalisation Era
We launched our proprietary online ESG portal, enabling clients to more effectively manage stakeholder engagement, materiality assessments, ESG data collection and performance monitoring, complemented by visualised performance trend analysis.
This year also marked our first engagement with a Korean listed company, providing sustainability disclosure and carbon accounting services.
Our listed-company client base grew to over 60 companies.
Reigniting Quality Excellence
GreenCo achieved ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, reinforcing our commitment to excellence, consistency and professional service delivery.
We supported a hotel and comprehensive entertainment resort company in enhancing its ESG reporting in line with international best practices, contributing to a subsequent improvement in MSCI ESG ratings.
By this year, our client base spanned all 12 industries under the Hang Seng Industry Classification System.
Broadening ESG Advisory Scope
We became a member of the Business Environment Council (BEC), actively contributing to sustainability advancement within Hong Kong’s business community.
Our services expanded beyond ESG disclosure for listed companies to include the investment sector, supporting venture capital and asset managers in developing responsible investment screening tools and policies.
During the same year, we supported a leading mixian restaurant chain throughout its IPO journey, covering senior management interviews, site visits, management training, UN SDG alignment, and ESG strategy development.
Strategic Rebranding and Growth
We officially rebranded as GreenCo ESG Advisory Limited, reflecting our strengthened vision and long-term commitment to helping organisations, both listed and private, transition towards more sustainable and responsible operations through ESG advisory.
In the same year, we became a GRI Community Member, reinforcing our alignment with international sustainability best practices and thought leadership.

Building Multidisciplinary Capability & Industry Recognition
As our client base expanded, we focused on strengthening internal capacity by building a multidisciplinary professional team spanning environmental engineering, environmental management, finance and accounting, and business strategy. This enabled us to deliver holistic, end-to-end ESG advisory services tailored to diverse corporate needs.
We supported a well-known Hong Kong listed cha chaan teng group in developing its first standalone and comprehensive ESG reporting framework, aligned with the GRI Standards.
This work contributed to the client receiving the 2018 BDO Best in ESG Award and Best in ESG Reporting Award, reinforcing our reputation for quality and impact.
Foundation and Early Engagement
Founded in 2016 in response to the emerging ESG landscape in Hong Kong, we were among the first professional advisory firms to provide ESG-specialised services to Hong Kong-listed companies.
Within our first year, we supported over 30 listed company clients, helping them prepare ESG-compliant reports aligned with the then newly introduced listing rules, establishing our early leadership in ESG disclosure.
