Carter’s, Inc. is the largest branded marketer in North America of apparel, exclusively for babies and young children. With the mission to serve the needs of all families with young children, Carter’s has a multi-channel, global business model in the United States and Canada, which makes it possess a broad range of consumers and business opportunities around the world.
Responsible Business Practices
Carter’s cotton traceability initiative can integrate and improve the visibility into its chain of custody, from the textile mill all the way to its customers. The Company has already set detailed qualitative and quantitative targets regarding its material environmental and social issues, including climate goals. For instance, the Company is dedicated to “reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by at least 25% by 2030, sourcing 100% cotton and polyester featuring sustainability by 2030, improving the well-being of more than 10 million families and at least 1 million workers within our global value chain by 2030”.
Aiming to provide families with sustainable and affordable apparel, Carter’s is committed to launching and participating in various initiatives in line with the Company’s responsible culture – which is for the best interests of families with young children and the communities it serves. For instance, the Company’s Little Planet includes mostly organic cotton, certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
